Taking a Break

Every Monday (or almost every Monday :-) I participate in a bible study with 3 of my good friends. Yesterday, we were learning about giving up all our worldly possessions in order to be Christ's disciple. We all felt that we would give up our worldly possessions for Christ but that we wouldn't give them up very willingly. So, this week we decided that we were going to give up one of our worldly possessions. Boy did we have a hard time deciding on one thing to give up. Everyone had something different that they were willing to give up. Then someone suggested that we all give up FACEBOOK!!!! Facebook is a big thing in all of our daily lives :-) I get on several times a day. Getting on Facebook is how I stay in touch with the world. Not all of us were willing to give up Facebook. However, we finally agreed and so the 4 of us will be off of Facebook for a week. Monday to Monday. So far I haven't missed Facebook (at least not very much). Without getting on Facebook, my email isn't very full either so I am kind of taking a break from that also. I haven't been keeping up with blogging lately so I decided that since I couldn't get on Facebook I would update my blog. This is going to be good for me. I am sure I will have much more free time this week because I am not getting on Facebook so many times a day. I will make sure to post and let everyone know how it goes :-) But for now I am off to work on Algebra II homework and get ready to leave for Spanish.
